Excellence for every child
What this priority is about
We want every child in every TEAM school to experience consistently high-quality teaching, a rich and engaging curriculum, and early support when it is needed. Our aim is that all pupils, including those who face disadvantage or additional needs, leave primary school with strong outcomes, a secure sense of self and the confidence to thrive in secondary education and beyond.
What this means for children and families
You should see:
- High-quality teaching in every classroom, supported by shared expertise across the Trust.
- A broad, stimulating curriculum that includes trips, visits and residentials to widen pupils’ horizons.
- Early identification of needs and timely support when concerns arise.
- Clear communication with families about children’s progress, support and next steps.
- Children who feel proud of their school, confident in who they are and ready for the future.
How we will get there
We will:
- Use a Trust-wide coaching and “walkthrough” model to strengthen classroom practice.
- Deploy specialist leaders across schools to support curriculum development and subject leadership.
- Offer shared enrichment and residential opportunities so that all pupils, including those in small rural schools, access a rich range of experiences.
- Embed a Citizenship Award to foster character, confidence and leadership.
- Develop cross-Trust curriculum teams to plan, moderate and improve together.
- Strengthen early intervention systems so that concerns are picked up and addressed quickly.
How we will know it is working
Over time, we expect to see:
- Outcomes for pupils in vulnerable groups (for example disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND) improving and at least in line with national averages, with gaps to other pupils significantly reduced.
- A growing proportion of pupils making faster-than-expected progress from their starting points.
- Pupil surveys showing high levels of confidence, self-belief and enjoyment of learning.
- Prompt access to early help for children with identified concerns.
- All schools being securely strong in the quality of education, as confirmed by Trust reviews and external inspection.
